In september 2019 the english group Cognita Schools acquired 100% of shares from Maxi group schools in Londrina: Colégio Maxi (Maxi School) Colégio NeoDNA (NeoDNA school) and New Med. Cognita has more than 76 schools in Europe, Asia and Latin America, and employs more than 7.500 teachers and contributors to support more than 50.000 students.
In March 2015 the Somos Educação conclued acquired 100% of shares from Colégio Maxi Cuiabá (Maxi school of Cuiabá).
In October 2011 the Abril Educação, currently Somos Educação, acquired 100% of shares from Sistema Maxi de Ensino (Maxi Education System).
CVC Brazil acquired 100% of shares from Experimento, recognized by one of the best agencies of exchange from Latin America. Prior the operation of Experimento, BRS partner Cinthia Ribeiro advised on the sale of other company from the founders of Experimento: The group of schools and Sistema de Ensino Pueri Domus (Pueri Domus Education System)
Setec group, one of the french leaders in engineering area, acquired 100% of MVH Brazil, a subsidiary of the American multinational MWH International. The new company was renamed SETEC Hidrobrasileira. Services are provided of engineering and consulting in the transport, infrastructure, hídrics resources, sanitation, enviroment, mining and energy.
Eleva Educação acquired the Nota 10 group, the biggest group of basic education from Mato Grosso do Sul, comprising the Nota 10, Delphos and Total schools, with units in Campo Grande, Dourados e Ponta Porã.
Eleva Educação, one of the biggest groups of education in the country, acquired the two units of Master school Cuiabá, leader in aproves in Medicine in the state of Mato Grosso
In October 2012 the BRS advised the Alfa group partners in the sale of 51% of Alfacon shares to Abril Educação (nowadays named Somos Educação). Alfacon operates in the segment for preparation online and presencial for civil service exams.
BRS advised again the Alfa group partners, this time in the sale of 4 units from Colégio Alfa Cascavel (Alfa Cascavel school), leader in medicine aproves, for one of the biggest groups of teaching from Brazil.
Cultura Inglesa Londrina and Cultura Inglesa Curitiba, the biggests of Paraná , joined consolidating the presence in the state. Both are pioneers companies in english teaching for kids, youngs and adults in the state of paraná
BRS Partners has the pleasure to announces that advised the Over Colégio e Curso in the operation with Inspira Rede de Educadores, the fourth biggest education school network from Brazil. Over is a prominent educational institution in the northeast of Brazil. There are 7 units in the states of Rio Grande do Norte and Paraíba, atending students of Childhood education and pre college entrance exam. BRS Partners is reference in advises in the preparation and execution of process in the sale of companies. Only in the sector of education was more than ten business successfully conclued. .
Ms. Ribeiro has over sixteen years of experience as M&A advisor. She has acted as a financial and strategic advisor on the buy and sell sides, mergers, initial public offerings and strategic alliances across different industries such as education, technology, food, agribusiness, textile, security, logistics, engineering services, cosmetics and pharmaceutical.
Before founding BRS she was a partner at IGC Partners (2001-2009), a leading Brazilian M&A boutique where she advised Brazilian and international companies on domestic and cross-border M&A transactions.
She holds a Masters from University of Warwick (UK) in International Economic Law (Chevening Scholar) and has executive education courses from Harvard University and University of Berkeley.
Ms. Liogi advises clients on Mergers and Acquisitions processes for the sectors of education, health, technology and manufacturing.
Before BRS, she worked for 10 years as responsible for the Financial and Costs area at multinational Atlas Schindler. She has also worked in the financial management of companies in the education, furniture and heavy equipment industries.
She is a Chartered Financial Analyst – CFA® Level I, a Certified Financial Planner – CFP® and has an MBA in Strategic Business Management from FGV- Fundação Getúlio Vargas.
Mr. Nascimento advises on Mergers and Acquisitions processes across various industries, including education, technology and tourism. He is focused on advising mid-sized companies and startups.
He also provides financial and strategic consultancy to startups in different segments, such as fintechs, foodtech, construtech and agtechs at INTUEL (Incubadora Internacional de Empresas de Base Tecnológica da UEL).
He is a graduate in Economics from the State University of Londrina.
Founding partner of BRS. Besides his experience in Mergers and Acquisitions, Mr. Saad has a long track record of providing strategic and financial advisory services to companies, cooperatives and family-owned groups in the agribusiness industry. He also mentors startup firms.
Before founding BRS he was the managing partner of Global Corretora de Cereais (a commodity brokerage house) and later coordinated the commodity and currency trading department of Link Investimentos in Curitiba, a leading Brazilian futures brokerage firm.
He holds an MBA in Agribusiness by FGV – Fundação Getulio Vargas and CPA 20 from ANBID (Brazilian Association of Investment Banks).
Ms. Gouvea has twenty years of experience working in investment banks in Brazil and the U.S., having closed over US$1.1 billion in domestic and cross-border deals of M&A, Strategic Alliances and Initial Public Offerings. She has advised clients among the TOP 500 largest U.S companies in M&A, Finance, Strategic Planning, Economic and Financial analysis, Corporate disputes and Business Litigation.
Before joining BRS she was a partner at IGC Partners, where she advised Brazilian companies on mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, corporate sales and cross-border negotiations.
Mrs. Gouvea holds an Executive MBA with Red McCombs School of Business, Austin, Texas (USA).
